The Wedding Dress: This is wild—I (Elizabeth) found my wedding dress when I was shopping for bridesmaid dresses at Bella Bridesmaids. I worked with the dearest alterations sister team, Charlsie Hand and her sister Linda, to create a longer train on the dress as well as the sheer jacket I wore for the ceremony and first part of the reception. My vision for that was a wide neck with puff sleeves and a mix of whimsical yet traditional pattern of lace.

Favorite Moments: I will never forget the moment of Will and I standing at the altar preparing to take our vows, and then the joy of looking out to see all of the people present to witness. I also loved spending the morning getting ready with my friends. Some dear family friends generously allowed us to get ready in their home, so we had stunning space and cozy fires for the winter day to all spend time together. And the reception, I can’t imagine an event that will ever top it! I had my dearest people, a fun crowd, a fun band and all the dancing—I was on Cloud 9!

Favorite Details: I have danced since I could walk, so the band was a high priority for me. Overall, we wanted a fun environment that people could chose to be in the middle of all the action and music or tucked away by a cozy fire to catch up with other guests. So the layout of the reception was very intentional to create the space for this kind of experience. I also loved working with my friend Riley to get the paper suite just right. Two other details I loved were my shoes and the earrings I wore for the reception. I stayed mostly traditional in design, but I wanted a few nods to trend and 2020.
